- sofalet is a home screen (launcher) for Android TV and Google TV, with a wallpaper the interface takes its colours from, a clock, a network strip, rows of apps, a weather widget, a Now playing widget and an optional Continue watching row. There is no phone app.
- The app is NOT released yet: there is no Play listing and no download.
- It needs no account. The optional sign-in (address and code, or Google in the Play build) exists only so that a licence granted to an address can find the TV.
- Weather comes from Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0), for a city the person searches for or has estimated from the internet connection. Wallpaper photos come from Unsplash.
- Google TV does not let a person choose another home screen, so sofalet offers an optional accessibility service that answers the Home button. The person turns it on in the system settings; it acts only on the Home key.

### Can it replace the Google TV home screen?

Google TV does not let you choose another home screen. sofalet offers an optional accessibility service that answers the Home button, which you turn on yourself in the system settings. It acts only on the Home key. Without it sofalet is an app you open.

### Does it need an account?
